"Shelter in Place" continues its distribution with selections to the 3rd Cape Winelands Film Festival in South Africa, the 16th Environmental Film Festival of Slovakia, and DOXA Documentary Film Festival in Canada.

Independent documentary "Shelter in Place" is a compelling portrait of a community living on the fenceline of big industry reflecting issues of civil rights, environmental pollution and a battle against corporate power... Filmed and directed by photojournalist Zed Nelson, produced by Hannah Patterson and edited by John Mister, the documentary premiered at the Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival 2009 where it was nominated for the Green Doc Award. The film was Executive Produced by Sarah Tierney (Clarity Productions), Steve Boulton and Katie Bradford (BRITDOC).

Reviews include: "an important tool in the struggle for justice" (DFG); "an impressive directorial debut...an emotionally engaging portrait of a people without a voice" (The Independent Film Guide); and "a perfect example of an issue driven documentary" (The Frontline Club).

The documentary has been selected in-competition to Cape Winelands, one of South Africa's largest film festivals, where it will compete for the Best Documentary Award. "Shelter in Place" has also been selected to the 16th ENVIROFILM Environmental Film Festival of Slovakia and DOXA Documentary Film Festival Canada, which take place in May 2010.
