At Home with the Jedi selected for Insight: Films of Faith Festival 2009

Short documentary "At Home with the Jedi" has been selected for Insight: Films of Faith Festival UK, where it is nominated for The Premier Award.

The Insight Film Festival aims to screen films that "make a contribution to community cohesion...communicating and understand faith and values through film".

Filmed and directed by R F Simpson and produced by Sarah Tierney, "At Home with the Jedi" is a domestic portrait about faith, family and future, meeting the founders of the UKs Church of Jediism. The film begins its international festival distribution at the 10th Darklight Film Festival next month and is nominated for the CPH: DOX Short Film Award 2009.

"At Home with the Jedi" is also nominated for The Premier Award at the Insight Film Festival, with the winning film receiving a cash prize and screening at the Mostra De Cinema E Religion in Sao Paulo, Brazil. All nominated films screen on Wednesday 18th November 2009 at the Zion Arts Centre, Manchester, from 11.00am.
