At Home with the Jedi selected to CPH: DOX 2009 and nominated for the Short Film Award

Short documentary "At Home with the Jedi" has been nominated for CPH:DOX's new SHORT:DOX Award, an initiative which will be launched during this years festival in November 2009.
CPH:DOX is the largest documentary event in Scandinavia, and one of the biggest in Europe. Last years festival had 200 films, 6 competitions and more than 33,000 admissions. The SHORT:DOX award aims to offer both established and upcoming independent filmmakers an opportunity to present their films to a young and broad audience, who will vote for the films directly online, awarding the winning film a cash prize of 2.000 Euros. The nominated films will be made available for online streaming and download from the CPH:DOX website from 17th October to 15th November 2009. The nominated films will also be available on the Doc Alliance network during the festival.
Filmed and directed by R F Simpson and produced by Sarah Tierney, "At Home with the Jedi" is a domestic portrait about faith, family and future, meeting the founders of the UKs Church of Jediism, whose galactic ambitions reach far beyond their small town existence... The film begins its international festival distribution at the 10th Darklight Film Festival next month.
