Christmas with Dad selected in-competition to The 28th Uppsala International Short Film Festival 2009

Award-winning "Christmas with Dad" continues its international distribution with selection to the 28th Uppsala International Short Film Festival in Sweden in October 2009.

Founded in 1982, the Uppsala International Short Film Festival has become Sweden's premier event for short film. Every year the festival shows more than 300 short films in five different sections exploring the diversity and richness of the short film - from new film to retrospective programmes, from fiction film, documentaries and experimental film to animations.

From over 3000 film entries, "Christmas with Dad" has been selected in the International Competition, along with 11 other films, as one of 75 short films competing for the Grand Prix. "Christmas with Dad" will screen on the 21st (3pm), 22nd (7pm) and 23rd (11am) of October in the Slottsbiografen venue.

Directed by Conor McCormack and produced by Sarah Tierney, "Christmas with Dad" follows 23-year-old AJ as his family prepare for the festive season and the arrival of an eighth child. With remarkable access and insight, the film reveals a young man struggling to define his role as a father, haunted by his own childhood and facing an uncertain future...
