Christmas with Dad screening in-competition at Stranger Than Fiction on Sunday 21st June 2009

Award-winning short documentary "Christmas with Dad" has been selected to the Short Film Competition at this years IFI Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Film Festival

James Kelly, the Festival’s Director, comments: “Stranger Than Fiction offers an exciting selection of the best documentaries from around the world...”. This year’s programme includes “The Yes Men Fix The World” and “Afghan Star”, with the Shorts Programme presenting “the future generation of documentary filmmakers…a selection of the finest short documentaries from across Ireland, interspersed with a selection of international gems”.

Conor McCormack and Sarah Tierney's award-winning "Christmas with Dad" is nominated for Best International Short Documentary and the Audience Award. The 8th IFI Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Film Festival runs from the 18th to 21st June 2009 in Dublin, Ireland. "Christmas with Dad" screens in the Shorts Programme from 12noon on Sunday 21st June.

“Christmas with Dad” had its UK premier at the 62nd Edinburgh International Film Festival 2008, and has since screened at Encounters Film Festival, Sheffield DocFest, London Short Film Festival, Glasgow Film Festival, Future Shorts International, HotDocs: the Canadian International Documentary Film Festival, and on Current TV.
