Channel 4 '3 Minute Wonder' series screening as part of Glasgow art exhibition

Completed last year, “From This Day Forward” is a series of short documentaries revealing personal experiences of domestic abuse. The film are to screen at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum as part of an exhibition of creative work by WAVES, Women Against Violent Environments. The exhibition runs from Saturday 4th April to Sunday 31st May 2009.

Campaign group TENDER reviewed the “From This Day Forward” series as: “…very affecting work…communicating the issues around domestic and sexual violence in a sensitive and engaging way. Even though the stories are harrowing, there is a good sense that the women who contributed will continue to live their lives. TENDER plans to use this brilliant and engaging resource within our work with young people”.

“From This Day Forward” was originally commissioned by Channel 4’s ‘Three Minute Wonder’ strand and broadcast in May 2008. The series was filmed/directed by Ruth Carslaw, produced by Sarah Tierney and edited by Richard Crawford.
