Christmas with Dad selected to HotDocs

Award-winning short documentary “Christmas with Dad” directed by Conor McCormack and produced by Sarah Tierney has been selected to the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival 2009.
HotDocs is North America's largest documentary festival, conference and market. Each year the Festival presents a selection of cutting-edge documentaries from around the globe. From a record 1948 film submissions, this year's Hot Docs will present 171 titles from 39 countries in 10 screening programs.
HotDocs will run from April 30th to May 10th 2009, featuring Canadian and international competitive programmes, an international documentary market, The Doc Shop, and the 10th annual Toronto Documentary Forum. "Christmas with Dad" is screening within the 'International Spectrum' programme, on Wednesday the 6th May and Friday the 8th May 2009.
Originally commissioned for the Scottish Screen / Scottish Documentary Institute’s ‘Bridging the Gap’ production scheme, short documentary “Christmas with Dad” had its UK premier at the 62nd Edinburgh International Film Festival 2008, where it picked up a Jury Prize, and has since screened at Encounters Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest, London Short Film Festival, Glasgow Film Festival, Future Shorts International and on Current TV.
